The driver of a Honda was driving recklessly Thursday morning before crashing into a school bus full of children on Interstate 95 in Broward County, witnesses told authorities.

No injuries were reported — including the 38 passengers on the bus, who were 7 to 12 years old, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.

At 10:32 a.m., the hectic scene began when the Honda sedan collided with a Dodge Ram north of Stirling Road. That caused the Dodge to slam into a Ford Fusion. The driver of the Honda then lost control of his vehicle before crashing into the northbound school bus.

After the Honda rammed the school bus, it rolled over, stopping in the right lane. The Honda’s driver then began walking south on Interstate 95, abandoning an adult female passenger and two children inside.

Deputies detained the driver on the highway.

Authorities didn’t release additional information.
