Northbound lanes of U.S. 27 in Broward are shut down after truck crash leaves 2 dead
All northbound lanes of U.S. 27 in Broward County are shut down Thursday afternoon after two people died in a crash involving a car and an 18-wheeler, according to authorities.
The crash was reported at 3:22 p.m. at mile marker 35, a mile north of Interstate 75, Lt. Indiana Miranda of the Florida Highway Patrol said in an email.
Two of the four people in the car, a Toyota Corolla, were confirmed dead, Miranda said. She said the other two were taken to the hospital. The truck driver was not injured.
Details about the crash were not immediately released.
Drivers should use other routes including Snake Road or State Road 80 to reach western Palm Beach County.
