A Sunday morning crash killed two people and shut down Interstate 95’s northbound lanes for about five and a half hours Sunday morning.

The lanes reopened around 11:45 a.m.

According to Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Indiana Miranda, the crash happened around 6:15 a.m. just south of Interstate 595 in Broward County when a driver “for unknown reasons, lost control of the vehicle” and crashed into the median.

The two people ejected from the car were killed immediately. A third person was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. A fourth person has “incapacitating injuries.”
