A 31-year-old man from Davie has died after his pickup truck fell off a ramp to Interstate 95 and crashed into a construction site early Tuesday in Broward County, troopers said.

The man was driving west on State Road 84 when he “failed to negotiate the right curve” on the entrance to northbound I-95 and crashed into a concrete barrier wall, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

His silver Chevrolet Silverado overturned, sending the truck plunging to the right shoulder of northbound I-95. The pickup then rolled over and crashed into a concrete post. It came to a stop on its right side in a construction site, troopers said.

The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the truck, troopers said. He died from his injuries.

The force of the collision also caused the concrete post to fall and crash onto a white Dodge Ram that was in the construction site, troopers said. Inside the Dodge Ram was a 39-year-old man from Boynton Beach. He was not injured.
