Overturned trucks shut down lanes of Interstate 95 in North Miami-Dade on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 11:40 a.m. in the Golden Glades Interchange, a tractor trailer overturned as the driver tried to get around the curve to go from I-95 south to State Road 826. The ensuing fuel spill has this part of the Golden Glades still shut down, FHP said.

Around 12:30 p.m., an overturned truck just south of the Northwest 95th Street entrance stopped movement on all the main southbound lanes of Interstate 95.

Cars started to use the right shoulder to edge by, but the traffic backup was extensive until the truck was cleared around 2 p.m.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more is learned.
