A four-car crash on southbound Interstate 95 in North Miami-Dade backed up traffic into Broward County early during Tuesday morning’s rush hour.

The 7:33 a.m. crash was cleared around 8:25 a.m., but the backups could take a while to unclog as rush hour plods into peak constriction. As an alternate route, use U.S. 441 or even University Drive/Northwest 27th Avenue.

For about 45 minutes after the crash south of Ives Dairy Road and north of Miami Gardens Drive, drivers got past only by driving onto the right shoulder.

Florida Highway Patrol said injuries to the people involved were minor.
