Wounded man was shot several times near I-95 in South Broward, deputies say

A man was shot multiple times on Hallandale Beach Boulevard near Interstate 95 in Pembroke Park early Wednesday, deputies said.

Deputies found the wounded man in the area shortly after 1 a.m., according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

He was taken to the hospital for injuries that are considered to be non life-threatening, the sheriff’s office said.

The investigation lasted well into the morning, with lanes in the area shut down during rush hour. Lanes reopened around 8 a.m.

BSO says crime scene and violent crime detectives are investigating the shooting.

Anyone with information that can help with the investigation should call police.
