What we know: The Venetian Causeway bridge that connects Downtown to Miami Beach is stuck in the up position during Wednesday’s morning rush hour, according to the city of Miami Beach.
The east bridge, the one closest to Miami Beach and near The Standard Spa hotel, is currently being inspected.
What this means for you: Drivers heading to or from Miami Beach should use Interstate 95, Interstate 195 (the Julia Tuttle Causeway) or Interstate 395 (leading to the MacArthur Causeway) instead. You should also expect delays.
