Gas line leak near a Publix and CVS in Miami Beach could cause traffic delays, police say

As if the rainy weather wasn’t bad enough, a gas line leak is expected to cause some additional traffic backups during Friday morning’s rush hour in Miami Beach.

The leak is in the area surrounding Fifth Street and Lenox Avenue and fire-rescue is responding, according to Miami Beach police.

Publix, Best Buy, Total Wine, Petco, Burger King and a CVS Pharmacy are some of the businesses in the area.

No additional details were immediately available. Drivers should seek alternate routes or leave their home earlier to plan for possible delays.
