Crash shuts down stretch of Oakland Park Boulevard near I-95 in Broward

What we know: A crash on Monday has shut down a stretch of Oakland Park Boulevard in Broward County during morning rush hour.

Where: The crash happened in the eastbound lanes by Powerline Road, beyond Interstate 95, according to the Florida Department of Transportation’s Live Camera database. Helicopter video taken by Total Traffic Miami shows a dark-colored pickup truck and a white car blocking lanes. Both are heavily damaged. Fire Rescue can be seen taking a gurney to the white car.

One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to Oakland Fire Rescue.

What this means for you: The eastbound lanes are shut down. Drivers should expect delays and take alternate routes such as Commercial or Sunrise Boulevard, according to Total Traffic Miami.
