Motorcyclists shot at a vehicle then beat up the driver. Cops say it was road rage

A group of men riding motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles assaulted a driver in Miami Wednesday evening after first shooting at his vehicle. Miami police are calling it an incident of possible road rage.

The victim was driving in the area of Northwest 33rd Avenue and 11th Court when his vehicle was shot at, according to police. The group of men riding motorcycles and ATVs then followed the driver to Seventh Avenue and 36th Street, near Moore Park, where they assaulted him.

Miami police responded to the scene after receiving calls about “what appeared to be a large fight taking place,” according to Miami police spokesperson Kiara Delva. NBC6 broadcast cell phone footage of what appears to be the moment several men hopped on their bikes to flee the scene.

The driver was treated on the scene by Miami Dade Fire Rescue and is expected to recover.

Miami police say the investigation is ongoing.
