Ongoing roadwork on the Homestead Extension of Florida's Turnpike and on State Road 836 will be the leading causes of commuter delays this week in Miami-Dade County.
On the Turnpike, up to two lanes in either direction between Southwest 216th Street and Eureka Drive may be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday for widening work and construction of toll express lanes.
On another Turnpike stretch, one lane in either direction between Eureka Drive and Killian Parkway may be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday, also for widening and express lane construction.

Also, all Turnpike northbound lanes between Coral Reef Drive and Southwest 120th Street will be closed nightly from midnight to 5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday.
On 836, meanwhile, the entrance ramp to the eastbound expressway from northbound and southbound Northwest 27th Avenue will be intermittently closed for paving through Thursday from10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly and again from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday.
The entrance ramp to westbound 836 from northbound Northwest 27th Avenue will be intermittently closed for earthwork through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night and again 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday.
The entrance ramp to westbound 836 from southbound Northwest 12th Drive/Northwest 45th Avenue will be intermittently closed for pile driving and a traffic shift onto the new ramp on through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night and again from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday.
