Florida question: Why did the alligator cross the road?

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office posted to its Facebook account a photo of a five-foot long alligator crossing a Palm Coast street.

Note, the reptile properly used the crosswalk (wish that we could say the same for many two-footed South Florida pedestrians.)

The alligator made its 30-second walk Monday morning.

“He just walked in the crosswalk like it was normal,” said Sheriff’s Cpl. Kathy Goncalves.

Why did the alligator cross the road? Obviously, to get to the other side.

But maybe the alligator’s asking why there is a road in the middle of his habitat.
