A 45-year-old woman was charged with domestic abuse after running over her ex-husband's foot after an argument about having sex in the rear of a storage unit, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Wendy Luper was married to the victim for 12 years, divorced and has gotten back together with him in the past six months, according to an arrest report. The two went to a storage unit in the 5700 block of 14th Street West at 6:54 p.m. Saturday to get some of the victim's stuff.

While parked in the rear of the facility, Luper undressed and asked the victim if he wanted to have sex, according to deputies. He agreed and told Luper to lay down, but she said no because she didn't want to have sex in that position.

The two began to argue, and the victim decided to go for a walk to "avoid an altercation." When he returned Luper was parked in front of the facility waiting, and told the victim to get his stuff out of the car and denied his request for a ride by telling him to "(expletive) off," according to the report.

The victim started collecting his possessions from the car, and Luper threw an unknown object at his head, making him fall back, deputies said. Luper continued yelling at him, and as he was trying to take items out of the car she accelerated, driving over the victim's right foot.

Deputies said the victim was bleeding from his head and his foot was swelling and turning color when they arrived on scene. The victim denied medical services.

Luper called the victim and the deputy convinced her to meet with law enforcement, according to the report. She denied the allegations but was unable to explain the victim's injuries, only saying that he wanted to have sex with her.

Luper had no injuries and was arrested at 7:36 p.m. She was charged with domestic battery and was released from the Manatee County jail on Sunday on $750 bond.
