Located between University Parkway and Fruitville Road and east of a future Bourneside Boulevard extension in Sarasota County, the Esplanade at Cammaray will have 1,200 single-family homes, condos and villas, according to a press release.
It’s the third Esplanade community for Lakewood Ranch. Sales for the new Esplanade at Cammaray are expected to begin in 2027, ccording to the company.
“Bringing a third Esplanade community to Lakewood Ranch is really special,” Taylor Morrison president of resort lifestyle brand Cammie Longenecker said in a statement. “This is where Esplanade began, and the lifestyle we have created, rooted in holistic wellness, has proven to be desirable.”
Esplanade at Cammaray will be a gated community with planned amenities such as a resort-style pool and spa, a dog park, an event lawn and pickleball courts.
There will also be a multi-use trail system in and around environmentally protected wetlands to connect to the existing trail system in the surrounding area.

“With a prime location in the final phase of Lakewood Ranch, residents can look forward to thoughtfully designed homes, exciting resort-style amenities, and curated wellness experiences that make every day feel like a vacation,” Taylor Morrison’s Sarasota division president Andrew Sorensen said in a statement. “Amenities will be similar to our Esplanade at Azario community, minus golf.”
A second Taylor Morrison community with about 200 townhomes will be located outside Esplanade at Cammaray’s gates on an adjacent land parcel, the news release said.
Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, Taylor Morrison’s Esplanade brand has more than 30 neighborhoods in the country.
