The buzz around the University of Miami campus right now: Did Hanna Cavinder and Carson Beck break up?
Neither party has made a peep, but if you’re curious (or just nosy), look to social media for clues.
The Hurricanes athletes, who went Instagram official last summer, appear to be over, or at least on shaky digital ground. Rumor has it the star quarterback was Snapchatting with another woman and those messages got leaked.
The basketball guard’s twin Haley posted a cryptic TikTok video on the sisters’ dual account last week, appearing to be addressing the situation without naming names.
“It’s not my story to tell,” the 24 year old says to their 4.6 million followers. “I know there is a lot of speculation and I see someone in my life that’s hurting and I don’t think it’s OK to not be able to have to always keep your mouth shut. I’m trying to be as nice as possible.”
As for Hanna, her latest post shows her looking very unbothered, hanging out in Fort Myers Beach and visiting iconic Florida tourist destination Big Dick’s.
A few commenters (many of whom appear to be potential suitors) read between the lines.
“Hey, I’m single and I won’t cheat!”
“Beck making some bad life choices.”
“Can’t believe Carson. Please let me fix that for you.”
“The worst fumble of all time.”
As for Beck, the baller’s account is now private, probably a wise move.
This power couple made headlines for a very different reason last month, when thieves made off with three luxury cars in front of Beck’s home near Pinecrest, one of which belonged to Cavinder. Sports Illustrated reports that Tykwon Deandre Anderson, a former defensive lineman at Miami’s True North Classical Academy, has since been arrested and faces charges of burglary of an occupied dwelling, first degree grand theft and grand theft of a vehicle.
