A lottery player turned a $1 ticket from a Florida gas station into a nearly $120,000 prize.

According to results from the Florida Lottery, a Fantasy 5 ticket sold at a Shell convenience store in Edgewater hit the top prize in the Dec. 23 evening drawing.

The winner had a computer randomly generate five numbers, which can range from one to 36, and they matched all five to win $119,839.80, lottery records show. Players can also choose their own number combination.

The winning numbers for that drawing were 3-4-5-15-26, according to the Florida Lottery.

Fantasy 5 drawings happen twice a day. The odds of winning a top prize in the game are 1 in 376,992.

Edgewater is part of the Daytona Beach metro area in Volusia County.
