A woman is accused of threatening her health insurance company while arguing about denied claims, saying “Delay, deny, depose. You people are next,” according to Florida authorities and the FBI.

Police showed up at her door later that day and arrested 42-year-old Briana Boston on a charge of making a threat to conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism, according to the Lakeland Police Department.

Boston called Blue Cross Blue Shield on Dec. 10 after recent claims of hers were denied, police wrote in an affidavit. At the end of the conversation, she’s accused of threatening the insurance company, echoing similar, but not the exact, words written on bullets found at the shooting scene of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, the Associated Press and NBC reported.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation passed along a transcript of the call to Lakeland police, who confronted Boston at her home.

Police say she apologized and said “she used those words because it’s what is in the news right now,” according to the affidavit.

She added she didn’t own any guns and wasn’t a threat, police said.

“Boston further stated the healthcare companies played games and deserved karma from the world because they are evil,” according to police.

She was charged with threats to conduct a mass shooting or act of terrorism and booked in Polk County jail Dec. 10, records show.

Lakeland is about a 35-mile drive northeast from downtown Tampa.
