A $10 lottery ticket sold at a Circle K in Florida has made a man a millionaire.
Avery Leach won a $2 million jackpot prize in the $2,000,000 100X Cashword scratch-off game, the Florida Lottery said Nov. 6.
The 57-year-old Duval County resident bought his ticket at a gas station convenience store at 8820 103rd St. in Jacksonville, lottery officials said.
Leach beat 1-in-3,792,743 odds to win one of eight top prizes, which he claimed at a local lottery office as a one-time sum of $1,280,000, according to the Florida Lottery.
Two grand prizes remain in the game that launched in December 2023.
The Circle K received a $4,000 bonus for selling the ticket, lottery officials said.
Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.
