The struggle is real for Serena Williams.

The baby weight isn’t coming off at record speeds, according to one of her recent Instagram Reels.

The tennis titan shared a video Sunday that is definitely relatable to many new (and not so new) moms. The 42-year-old mother of two was trying on a relic from her closet and it just wasn’t happening for her.

In the hilarious clip, Williams explains to her followers that she really wanted to wear a designer denim full-length skirt that she tucked away while still in maternity clothes.

“I got this cool Valentino skirt when I was pregnant and I was like ‘I’m gonna be able to fit this when I don’t have a belly,’“ the champ joked while struggling to hoist it over her hips in front of the mirror.

“I should’ve been able to fit it by now, but ...I got distracted for about a month. We have a ways to go,” confessed the athlete.

“Houston, we got a problem,” she laughed, referencing the NASA disaster classic “Apollo 13.” Then, localizing her dilemma: “Palm Beach, we got a problem...Back to the drawer, for now.”

Williams and her husband, Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian, welcomed their second daughter, Adira, in August 2023. Their first daughter, Alexis, was born in September 2017.

The 23 Grand Slam winner is seen in a subsequent Instagram post getting her sweat on at the gym, so we have faith.
