Bad Bunny made a surprise visit to this classroom in Florida and students freaked out

About 400 Florida International University students got the shock of the semester the other day when a super-famous visitor stopped by their hospitality management class.
That would be Bad Bunny, who was a guest speaker at “The David Grutman Experience” at FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, Biscayne Bay Campus, on Thursday.
Grutman, the nightlife mogul behind such piping hot spots as Komodo, CasaDonna and LIV, is known for surprising his charges by bringing in some of his most influential friends for a chat. Past cameos dropping insider knowledge include DJ Khaled, Drake, and most recently, Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa, who just rolled out his own vodka.

Bad Bunny isn’t just a pal of Grutman, though; he’s also a business partner. The two opened Gekko clubstaurant together in August 2022.
“That’s the deadest time of the year,” Grutman recalled of Miami’s worst month in terms of people being in town. “And they had to shut down Brickell for the opening.”
Just as Bad Bunny does on stages around the world, the entertainer born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio made quite the grand entrance.
In video taken by onlookers and shared on Only in Dade you see the so-called King of Latin Trap, 29, walking in, rocking a brown outfit with a bandanna and sunglasses covering half his face. Immediately recognizing him, the kids all get to their feet, cheering, yelling and holding up their cellphones.
“Not everyone does their thing like I do,” said the native Puerto Rican in Spanish, with the help of a translator. “But there are people that take advantage of every opportunity that presents itself, and that’s amazing.”
Grutman posted highlights of the educational evening, which also included an appearance by influencer Alix Earle, on his Instagram.
Folks in the comments section approved, especially the fortunate few who were actually in-house.
“Best class ever,” wrote one.
