Florida Amber Alert canceled after girl last seen in Daytona Beach was found safe

UPDATE: Authorities canceled the Amber Alert on Tuesday afternoon after the child was found safe.

An Amber Alert was issued Monday night for a 14-year-old girl last seen two days ago in Volusia County.

Barbora Zdanska disappeared Saturday from the 100th block of Boyton Boulevard in Daytona Beach.

Zdanska was wearing a black Addidas sweatshirt with white stripes on the sleeves and black jean shorts. The 5 foot, 5 inches teen weighs 136 pounds and has blue eyes and blonde hair.

Daytona Beach Police Department noted in a Facebook post that Zdanska is possibly accompanied by a teenage boy, approximately 14-years-old, named “Carlos.”

On Tuesday, authorities said that the 2014 blue Dodge Caravan that she was believed to be traveling in has been found.

To activate an AMBER alert, law enforcement must have a “well-founded belief” that the missing child has been kidnapped and that they are “in imminent danger of death or serious bodily injury,” according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

If you have any information about Zdanska, you are encouraged to call 911 or the Daytona Beach Police Department at 386-671-5100.
