What draws you to a supermarket?

Is it the BOGOs at Publix? The everyday lower prices at Walmart and Aldi? The beef at Winn-Dixie? The multi-packs and samples at Costco?

We all have our own reasons for heading to a particular grocery store.

The chart uses anonymous mobile location data gathered by data collecting service SafeGraph and should be considered a sample of each supermarket’s foot traffic. For the purpose of this chart, a visit is defined as staying at the location for more than four minutes.

Hover over each section of the graph for details about each store’s foot traffic during a given time period.
