Florida woman baked a ‘disgustingly awesome’ cake for Halloween. How to do it yourself
Want to freak out people for Halloween? Just get baking.
A Florida woman has the perfect recipe. But a warning: It’s not for the squeamish or non-cat lovers (maybe).
Amanda Schmitt made a realistic looking modeled after kitty litter, complete with “droppings.”
When Schmitt showed off her treat on TikTok, the clip — which shows her shoveling the gritty mess into her mouth with a scooper — went viral, with now over 22 million views.
So what’s in this delicious monstrosity?
The baker told Storyful that the super moist Halloween hit is a mix of crumbled vanilla and chocolate Oreos for the “clay,” marshmallow fluff for the “pee patties,” and Tootsie rolls for the, um, No. 2.
In her TikTok, you can see the whole thing come together, and how yummy ingredients when blended properly, can appear pretty gross.
“It’s funny how some people flat-out refuse to eat it even after knowing it’s just a cake,” Schmitt told Storyful. “My kids look forward to this every year and crack me up because when I serve it to them, they’ll ask for extra poop.”
Commenters couldn’t get enough; e.g., “This is disgustingly awesome.”
Others were a little too taken aback by how close the dessert looked like the real thing, throwing down more than a few throwing up emojis.
“This absolutely scared me,” complained/complimented another follower.
In a followup video, Schmitt thanks fans for all their likes and shares, then responds to the haters asking if the box and scooper were clean (yes, newly bought and washed, she says).
More trolls inquired if she ever ate real kitty poop or pee?
“Not my cup of tea,” Schmitt deadpans.
On her timeline, the influencer also has some other tricks for the big night. In another video, she scares up some plain Dunkin’ Donuts, painting them with red food dye for “blood,” throws fake vampire teeth in the hole and applies the creepy eyeballs with white frosting. Voila.
They’re called “Dracunuts,” probably easier to prepare than the kitty litter for the time pressed, just saying.
