Uniquely shaped house in Florida is one ‘you have to see to believe.’ Check it out
A wondrous compound that has a striking shape has landed on the real estate market in St. Petersburg, Florida, for $1.15 million.
But the home’s tube-like exterior isn’t the only interesting thing about it. The roof also happens to be soundproof, according to Realtor.com.
“Everybody that walks into the house, it’s like a ‘wow’ factor,” listing agent Jill Helgren told Realtor. “It changes the whole dynamic. It’s not a flat ceiling. It’s a round ceiling inside the home.”
The one-bedroom, two-bathroom residence is considered a “private compound” that consists of a primary home, oasis-like backyard and a garage. Features inside the unique 3,216-square-foot main house include:
High ceilings
“Cement-epoxy floors”
Gourmet kitchen
Loft-style primary bedroom
Deck
Outside is a pool, a Jacuzzi and a fire pit perfect for entertaining, while the garage can be used as a separate living area, as the owners are currently doing.
According to Realtor, the current owners bought it in 2016 “for around $80,000” and gave it a head-to-toe restoration, taking it from a tuff shed-like shack to a luxurious, livable property.
St. Petersburg is about 20 miles southwest of downtown Tampa.
