‘Did it have a boo-boo?’ An alligator pays an unexpected visit to Florida hospital
It’s not every day you see an alligator at a hospital.
You’re more likely to see someone who got bitten by one end up there.
But this is Florida, where all bets are off.
On Saturday, a wee one showed up at Dade City Hospital in Pasco County, according to a post from the popular “Alligators in Florida” Facebook page.
How wee? One pic shows it in the corner, next to what appears to be a rat trap, half its size.
Two other photos show folks from the facility holding the little guy in their arms, with the reptile’s jaws taped safely shut.

A spokeswoman for the hospital told the Miami Herald that security called local cops, who contacted the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission. An FWC trapper came out and taped the gator’s mouth shut. Two security guards were able to pose with the animal, as seen on the Facebook post.
At no time was any patient in danger.
“As soon as local police were contacted, the FWC came out,” she said. “At no time did anyone lose sight of the alligator for safety reasons.”
Commenters couldn’t resist gushing over the unusual “visitor” to the healthcare facility, calling it “cute.”
One person went so far as to joke: “Did it have a boo-boo??”
