A grisly mystery out of Florida.

According to a Facebook post from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, a dead man was found in a garbage heap at a landfill in nearby Jackson County.

The body had been among the trash collected around 9:30 a.m. Saturday at a landfill in Baker.

OCSO investigators say the landfill is “accessible to any company or individual.”

On its website, the facility says acceptable waste includes construction and demolition; tires; sludge and contaminated soil; municipal solid waste (such as grass clippings, furniture and clothes).

The man’s identity is not yet known; an autopsy was set.
