A man didn’t like being arrested, so he fought back — through a Florida deputy’s pants

Ouch. Pass the Neosporin.

A Florida law enforcement officer’s leg was left smarting after an arrest gone haywire.

According to a Tuesday Facebook post from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was bitten by a suspect who preferred to be free.

“Someone who didn’t want to go to jail bit right through this deputy’s pants,” said the caption along with a picture of the red, angry injury. “A trespasser had just battered someone when our deputy arrived and he was combative and began fighting.”

The post ends on a cautionary note: “This is a good reminder that there are some in our community who will violently resist law enforcement.”

The suspect was not identified. But his dentist may know.

Facebook commenters were duly disturbed and some advised the officer to seek medical attention:

“Yikes.”

“Horrible.”

“Ewwww ... lab work, medication. I hope it’s nothing and you stay safe.”

“Wonder if his shots were up to date?”

“Thank goodness it wasn’t a bullet.”
