Another day, another ugly confrontation over a face mask.

This one at a bus stop in New Port Richey, Florida, on Thursday.

Florida woman Meg Charleton told her Instagram followers that she was approached by a woman with three kids asking about the bus schedule.

Charleton posted that she informed the woman that it stopped once every hour. After she said the woman called dispatch, she informed Charleton that the bus came every 30 minutes and appeared annoyed that the information provided was incorrect.

When the bus arrived, Charleton said she donned her mask according to Pasco County COVID-19 requirements, and said the woman told her, “That’s right. Be a good little slave.”

That’s when Charleton began filming on her phone.

You can hear the other woman in the clip, shared to Storyful, say that Charleton, by wearing a mask, is behaving ‘like all the rest of the slaves out there.”

Enraged, Charleton asks why she is telling a woman of color that she is a slave.

The woman responds, “I’m a Mexican woman of color.”

“That doesn’t matter,” Charleton yells. “That’s offensive! What’s wrong with you?”

The video ends with Charleton boarding the bus.

“Regardless of the connotation in which she meant the word ‘slave’ you do not ever call a black or brown person a slave,” the mother of two concluded in her post. “Ever. She could’ve chosen another word but deliberately chose #slave.”

As of Monday, the other woman in the video has not come forward or been identified.
