Amber Alert issued for missing 8-year-old Florida boy

A statewide search is on for an 8-year-old boy who went missing in Tallahassee Monday.

According to Tallahassee police, Josiah Brantley is believed to be with his mother Jasmine Brantley, 28. Police labeled the case an “interference in custody.”

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued an Amber Alert for Josiah at about 6 p.m. Monday. Josiah and Jasmine could be with Jasmine’s companion Damian Burgman, according to the FDLE.

The little boy, who is 4 feet tall, weighs 90 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes, was last seen in a white tank top and orange shorts.

Jasmine Brantley is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. Burgman, 30, is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

They could be in a 2019 black Dodge Journey with the license tag KCWV29. Tallahassee police said they may be headed to Live Oak or Orlando.
