‘You’re dead’: Watch an ex Florida deputy threaten to shoot George Floyd rioters
Disturbing video of a former Pasco County Sheriff’s deputy ranting about the recent violent protests appeared on Twitter Sunday night.
And now the sheriff’s office is denouncing the ex-employee’s clip, which is reportedly a screengrab of her Snapchat.
In the curse-laden video reshared Sunday by a Black Lives Matter activist with the handle @hunterarohm, Katy Anello is seen sitting in her car in Spring Hill, Florida. She says to the camera, “Any [bleeping] threat, threatening character or threatening actions to me, I’m [bleeping] shooting you,” she says.
“So let’s just [bleeping] hope that there’s no more riots because I promise you, hmm, if my life’s at risk or I feel I’m at danger, you’re [bleeping] dead, b---h.”
Anello doesn’t seem to care who shares her online tirade regarding the nationwide protests over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
“Now go ahead and put that on the [bleeping] news and cry about it, everyone ‘Oh, this person’s life matters’...shut the [bleep] up. Shut up! Who gives a [bleep]? We’re in [bleeping] America, b—. We’re not in [bleeping] Iraq or Iran where we’re fighting for our lives constantly. So stop acting like [bleeping] terrorists!”
In a statement, Amanda Hunter, the lead public information officer for the sheriff’s office, wrote, “The content of the video is reprehensible and clearly violates our General Orders and policies.”
In another statement, Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco called the video “appalling.”
“This person was with us for two months and left over a year ago, it is very clear she does not represent the values of the Pasco Sheriff’s Office,” he wrote. “We have a great partnership with our community and will stay united.”
Anello reportedly resigned while still in the probationary period for her job at the county jail; her current employment status is unknown.
