She was angry about getting flowers for Mother’s Day – so she beat her husband, cops say.
Flowers are usually the go-to gift for Mother’s Day.
But one Florida woman apparently wanted something more.
Sandra Webb, 35, found herself behind bars Sunday after she beat her husband with a bouquet of Mother’s Day flowers, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the husband bought the flowers for their children to give to her on Mother’s Day. Webb soon became angry upon realizing where her present came from.
Her husband, unbeknownst to Webb’s growing rage, was laying in bed when she suddenly hurled the present at him just before 1 a.m. The bouquet connected but that still wasn’t enough.
Webb then “spit on the victim’s left arm” and chest, according to her arrest report.
She later admitted to chucking the flowers but denied using her husband as a spittoon.
Deputies charged Webb with one count of domestic battery. Jail records show she was released on her own recognizance later that day.
