An Orlando white nationalist, who would be in South Carolina jail but for the coronavirus pandemic, was arrested in Orange County on a charge of aggravated stalking early Tuesday.

An arrest warrant says Augustus Sol Invictus, born Austin Gillespie, contacted his estranged wife in Orange County daily since his March 27 release in South Carolina. That’s a violation of Invictus’ bond.

South Carolina prosecutors will file Thursday to have the 36-year-old’s bond revoked and have him brought back to the state where he’s charged with domestic violence against her.

Depending on his housing in Orange County Jail, Invictus could’ve had a father-son jailhouse picnic Tuesday with his father, attorney John Gillespie. Gillespie was arrested Saturday on human trafficking and racketeering charges. He’s accused of trafficking girls and running a prostitution ring out of his Melbourne home.

Law enforcement says Gillespie got busted while traveling to Orange County to hook up with a 16-year-old girl. He’d met the girl at his home previously, a criminal complaint says, and they agreed he’d get her into adult webcams and prostitution. The Saturday meeting was straight business — he planned to pay $100 for sex in her hotel room.

Sometime after Gillespie got to the Hilton Garden Inn, but before he got handcuffed, Gillespie learned the “16-year-old” was a bit older and an undercover cop.

Invictus’ previous notoriety came as a headline speaker in the tragic August 2017 Unite the Right Charlottesville rally, where Heather Heyer was run over and killed by James Alex Fields in his car.

Invictus also ran for the Florida Senate in 2016 as a Libertarian Party candidate. After Invictus got routed in the Libertarian primary by Paul Stanton, he left the party the next year.

These days, he’s publisher of The Revolutionary Conservative. And, during most of 2020, a resident of corrections systems in Florida and South Carolina.

Invictus was arrested in Brevard County on Dec. 30, on a warrant from South Carolina. His wife accused him of choking her and putting a gun to her head while they were in Rock Hill, South Carolina, on Dec. 12.

Stuck in South Carolina jail after being denied bond, Invictus got a bizarre break from the COVID-19 pandemic. As reported by the Rock Hill Herald, his public defenders successfully argued that between the pandemic stalling court matters and possibly spreading through jail, Invictus should be released. He posted $10,000 bond and was out March 27.

His estranged wife, Tuesday’s arrest warrant said, told an Orange County Sheriff’s deputy “he has made daily third-party contact with her and demands to see their children.”

She said he uses several different phone numbers, but most often phone numbers of his kids from a previous relationship. Monday, she said, he texted one of their daughter’s phones that his estranged wife better bring the children to a park “or else.”

“In all (Invictus’ wife) estimates Augustus has contacted her 20 plus times through their daughter in an attempt to harass or intimidate her since his release from jail.”
