From Patron to $140 per bottle tequila, thieves kept hitting this Florida liquor store

Shoplifters swiped 11 bottles of tequila, including a $140 bottle of Don Julio 1942, from a Wellington Total Wine & More store in four robberies over 15 days.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office released surveillance video stills of the robberies Friday afternoon.

Jan. 17: PBCSO says a woman took four bottles of Roca Patron tequila, hid them on herself and walked out. The surveillance video still released has a 2:29 p.m. time stamp.

Jan. 30: PBCSO said the female in a couple shopping in the store gave herself the purse discount — put the bottles in her purse — on six bottles of Patron tequila around 2:05 p.m.

Feb. 1: A white male in glasses is accused of putting the slender 750 ml bottle of Don Julio 1942 inside his jacket and leaving the store without ponying up the $139.99 retail price. The Total Wine website says the tequila is “produced in very limited amounts” and is unavailable.
