Private jet makes fiery landing, skids across Daytona Beach airport runway, video shows

A Daytona Beach runway was set on fire Thursday afternoon when a plane landed with no landing gear.

At about 12:25 p.m., a small private jet made a hard and fast landing at the Daytona Beach Airport setting its belly on fire as it skidded across the runway, the airport said.

A video of the fiery landing was posted on Facebook by Yelvington Jet Aviation, which said it looked like the aircraft made a no gear landing.

No one was injured and rescue crews quickly attended to those inside. Along with putting out the flames, crews had to clean up a fuel spill on the runway.

As the airport worked to douse the fire and attend to the aircraft, several flights were rescheduled, and another runway was being used.

About fours after the crash, the airport reopened the runway and the plane was removed.
