A llama just caused some drama in downtown Tampa. Insert your Florida joke here
It’s not every day you see a llama strolling down the street. Most people have never even seen one outside of the zoo.
But that’s exactly what pedestrians witnessed Monday morning in Tampa, downtown near the Hillsborough County courthouse, the Tampa Bay Times first reported.
Passersby managed to snap pics of the animal as it stood patiently at a traffic light with its handler, who was holding the animal with a rope.
The mystery was solved later in the day when The Florida Bar tweeted a photo of some lawyers posing with the woolly visitor.
The llama’s name is ‘Thaddeus,’ read the post. “He came from his farm into @Tampasdowntown today with his owner for ‘official llama business,’ per sources.”
Social media users under the Tampa Bay Times’ tweet with the story couldn’t resist jokes.
“Its Florida, so it could also easily be just some dude walking his llama...”
“For courtroom drama, bring your llama...”
“Maybe he’s just on the llama.”
“Llama attorney at law. Divorce and small claims.”
Now that the mystery is solved, we are patiently waiting for Thaddeus’ Instagram page.
