A 15-year-old died after being struck by a Palm Beach County school bus Wednesday morning, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.

Natasha Dwyer would’ve turned 16 next Tuesday.

The crash happened at the corner of Elmhurst Road and Haverhill Road near West Palm Beach at 6:32 a.m.

A report from PBCSO on the 6:32 a.m. crash said Natasha was walking north on Haverhill, then standing on the southwest corner of the intersection. The bus was in the eastbound lanes of Elmhurst, stopped at the intersection. When the light turned green for the bus, the driver began a right turn.

“As the light was changing, (Natasha) entered into the crosswalk in front of (the bus),” the report reads. “(The bus) impacted (Natasha). (Natasha) was run over by (the bus). (Natasha) got stuck underneath (the bus) and was dragged a short distance.”

She was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, where she died from the crash injuries.
