Dog yelps made her open her bedroom door. She saw a bloody floor and a naked renter.
A Delray Beach woman awoke Monday morning to find the man renting a room in her house walking around naked and a floor so soaked with blood, she feared slipping and falling.
By the end of the morning, an arrest report said, Delray Beach Fire Rescue paramedics tried to stop the bleeding from multiple neck lacerations on Kimberly Armstrong’s dog “Shiloh.” Later, Adam Mizrach would be under arrest for inflicting serious physical injury on an animal. As of Tuesday afternoon, Mizrach remained in jail on $3,000 bond.
Mizrach rents a room in Armstrong’s Delray Beach home. Armstrong told Delray Beach police that, as she lay in bed, she heard Shiloh yelping “multiple times.” She rose and opened her bedroom door.
“...she saw blood all over the floor,” the arrest report reads. “She advised she was unable to quickly get out of her bedroom due to the amount of blood on the floor, as she was afraid to slip and re-injure her back, but advised that Mizrach was walking around naked, which she found to be odd.”
Upon getting into the hallway, she found “blood everywhere in her house.” When police arrived, they found trails of blood covering house floors as well as inside Mizrach’s room, where they found a large, blood-soaked pillow. A large knife with blood on the blade and handle lay in the kitchen sink.
Mizrach had blood on the tops of his feet and between his toes. As police took him to jail, they claim he said he “did not mean for this to happen.”
Shiloh was on oxygen with very low blood pressure after “multiple deep lacerations near his jugular vein and carotid artery.”
