This is probably the last thing you’d hope to experience in the children’s section of a library.
A nanny brought her charges to the Seminole County Public Library in Oviedo, northeast of Orlando, on Thursday.
Madison Alderman told her Twitter followers what happened, along with a video clip: “Okay so I took my 7 and 9 year old nannying girls to the library and this guy was watching porn in his virtual reality but didn’t know his headset wasn’t connected.”
The babysitter said she complained to the librarian, who confronted him about how the sound of sexual relations from the unidentified man’s porn film was audible to kids nearby.
In the video she took, you can see the man, wearing a Miami Dolphins T-shirt, and shorts and slides sitting in a chair with a VR headset and headphones. The moaning sounds are coming out of the speakers, but he appears oblivious.
Once the librarian alerted the football fan, who apparently brought his own equipment to the library, he ran out of the facility looking mortified.
Turns out, the whole thing was a prank, albeit not a very funny one.
The man, Kyle Forgeard, is a prankster who has pulled “watching in public” stunt as one half of the Nelk Boys. Forgeard and Jesse Sebastian have a channel on YouTube.
Law enforcement authorities were not called to the library over the incident, said a spokeswoman from the Oviedo Police Department.
