Woman hands over newborn to guest at Disney resort, reports say

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a guest at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom Lodge told hotel employees that an unknown woman gave her a newborn baby and walked away, according to news reports.

The incident happened at around 2 a.m. Sunday at the sprawling resort in Lake Buena Vista, according to WESH2 news.

FOX35 Orlando reported that the guest walked into the hotel’s lobby and said she was just standing outside when someone gave her a baby.

According to the station, Reedy Creek Fire Rescue responded and took the child to Celebration Hospital in good condition. The Florida Department of Children and Families was also notified, the station reported.
