A scary thing happened to a Walmart shopper in Fleming Island, outside Jacksonville, on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a tweet from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, a teenager was apprehended after approaching a woman in the cat food aisle and threatening her with a knife.
“I don’t know how I was able to stay calm and not freak out,” Alis Muntain, the victim, told Action News Jax.
Muntain told the TV station that she while had her hands full with merchandise, the 14-year-old boy asked her how old she was.

“Then he said, ‘I want you to know that I have a knife in my pocket, and I want you to have sex with me,’” she said.
The victim was able to alert a fellow shopper nearby and tell Walmart staff. The boy ran for the exit, but was flagged by cops outside.
“Due to the female’s vigilance, coupled with the assistance of [a] customer, the male fled the store without harming anyone,” said the sheriff’s office post. “This was an unfortunate event, however, we ask everyone to pay attention to their surroundings.”
The boy’s identity was not released due to his age.
