She was pulling out of her driveway, headed to work. She never made it there, cops say.

A Florida woman was doing what she normally did on Tuesday morning: She got in her car to steer it out of her driveway. Before the victim could make it anywhere, shots rang out, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

The as yet to be identified woman, of Middleburg, is in the hospital, according to ActionNewsJax, who got ahold of the woman’s daughter who said her mother should be OK.

In a tweet, CCSO deputies wrote that she was “targeted” in the attack: “She has non-life-threatening injuries and is being medically treated. Preliminary investigation has revealed that this is an isolated incident, as it is believed she was targeted.”

The TV station showed the victim’s car, a blood spattered Cadillac, being towed away.

According to another tweet from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, detectives are actively working on this case.
