Your bloated SunPass account should be looking normal again.

The Florida Department of Transportation announced Tuesday that SunPass has cleared the sudden backlog of charges created in June and July by problems with contractor Conduent’s system upgrading.

So, your SunPass account should be updating in the manner it was before this summer (well, except for that time in February).

No late fees and penalties will be applied for old highway toll charges that were added in bunches once Conduent got everything working properly.

Also Tuesday, FDOT announced that it “took significant action against Conduent by assessing nearly $800,000 in damages, at Governor (Rick) Scott’s direction, and requesting an investigation by the Office of the Chief Inspector General into Conduent’s failures and mismanagement of the SunPass system transition.”
