A Florida medical doctor spent a day in jail after cops say they found a Ford SUV stuck in a mall parking lot island with the doctor behind the wheel — with his pants down and his left hand holding his penis.
According to Indian River County Sheriff's Office deputy Robert Williams, Dr. Luis Cisneros, 49, was unconscious Monday night in Vero Beach's Indian River Mall parking lot with the SUV in reverse.
Williams said he could see Cisneros breathing, but the doctor was in a deep sleep. Knocking on the window didn't work, so Williams used his flashlight to break the window.
Cisneros didn't hear it — he remained out. Williams smelled "a strong odor of alcohol," and saw empty bottles of tequila and Climax whiskey in the shotgun seat.
Williams said he asked Cisneros twice what happened. Both times, he got the answer, "No."
Cisneros emerged from the car, Williams wrote, with assistance from emergency medical services. After he was treated and released from a medical center, Williams told Cisneros he was commencing a criminal investigation and read Cisneros his Miranda rights.
"No," Cisneros said.
Cisneros eventually said yes to some balance exercises at the Indian River County Jail. Those ended when Cisneros crumpled face down to the floor. Williams said Cisneros refused to get up, so Williams and a jail deputy hoisted Cisneros into a chair.
As they did, Williams wrote, Cisneros "made several attempts to grab (Williams') and the correctional deputy's genitals."
Cisneros spent Tuesday in jail on one count of misdemeanor DUI before posting $1,000 bond. His Florida medical license, held since 2007, hasn't been sullied by any discipline cases. He's a controlled substance provider.
