They were joyriding in a Jaguar, as shown on police dash-cam video. It doesn't end well.

Dash-cam footage captured a high-speed chase on a major Florida thoroughfare that ended when a Brevard County Sheriff's deputy intentionally rammed his patrol car into the fleeing SUV, causing it to come to a halt.

The chase began Saturday afternoon after Indian River County Sheriff's Office alerted Brevard County to a stolen black Jaguar SUV heading north on U.S. 1 at speeds up to 100 mph, according to the sheriff's office.

Initially, deputies were told there were two males and a female inside the SUV, and that they were armed with a handgun, the sheriff's office said.

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office said deputy Bill Hammer intercepted the SUV and tried to get it to stop. An Indian River County deputy also joined in.

The chase, the sheriff's office said, went through several cities including Melbourne and Palm Bay.

At one point, deputies used stop sticks to try to get the SUV to stop, but despite flat tires the vehicle continued, the sheriff's office said.

The video shows Hammer inching closer to the SUV and tapping its rear fender, forcing it to turn right. The SUV continues to push forward as Hammer's car gets stuck on the side and looks as if it's going to flip.

A bumper can be seen falling off just before Hammer forces the SUV to stop.

According to TCPalm.com, the incident started in Martin County with an armed carjacking. The website, which is part of Treasure Coast newspapers, reported that a 51-year-old woman was walking to her 2017 Jaguar in a Palm City gym parking lot when two males approached her and demanded her keys. She then saw them leave in her SUV, according to TCPalm.com.

Brevard County Sheriff's Office said the department arrested two juveniles, one male and one female, and found a handgun in the SUV.
