A 40-year-old man was arrested by police after officials say he broke into a woman’s home while naked.

Joseph Vaglica of Edgewater — just south of Daytona Beach — burst through a woman’s garage, ran upstairs and proceeded to try on some of her clothes, The Daytona Beach News-Journal reported.

“A naked guy just ran in my house!” the homeowner screamed during a 911 call. The woman ran to her stepson’s house next door to call police. “Please hurry!”

The woman’s stepson, who lives next door, told the emergency operator: “I was in my garage. I heard a car speeding backwards into our long driveway. He stopped, jumped out of the car butt naked. ... Now he’s standing out in the yard naked, staring into the sky.”

After trying on the garments, investigators say he ran back outside toward the stepson’s house, and rolled around in the yard until Volusia County Sheriff deputies arrived.

Vaglica was arrested and booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail on $25,000 bail. He was charged with burglary and assault, jail records show.

It’s not Vaglica’s first run-in with the law. The newspaper reported that his criminal record includes numerous misdemeanor arrests, including one in 2016 for disorderly intoxication.
