Greens that went to Florida, Texas, 7 other states are recalled. They may have listeria
Consumers should check freezers and the back of vegetable drawers for bags of mustard greens recalled after state-level testing found listeria.
Baker Farms’ company-written, FDA-posted recall says the Texas Department of State Health Services found listeria in a finished product of Baker Farms Curly Mustard greens that was packed on Nov. 4 and distributed from Nov. 5-9. The 16-ounce bags come from lot No. bak144-6806 with a best by date of Nov. 21.

In addition to Texas, the greens went to distributors in Florida, Kentucky, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee.
The Norman Park, Georgia, company says it learned only on Friday — the day after Thanksgiving, a popular day for cooking greens in families with Southern roots — from Texas about the listeria testing.
Anyone who still has these bags shouldn’t eat the greens, but either throw them deep into the trash or return them to the store of purchase for a full refund.
