Recalls

The unwanted ingredient that caused 35,000 pounds of sausage to be recalled: rubber

Among the many ingredients in any kind of sausage, you won’t find rubber, which is why about 35,430 pounds of kielbasa got pulled in a not-food-in-your-food recall.

Manufacturer Salm Partners issued the recall of Johnsonville Polish Kielbasa Turkey sausage after, the USDA recall notice said, “the firm received complaints from consumers reporting they found pieces of rubber in the ready-to-eat turkey kielbasa products.”

The sausage recalled came in 12-ounce packs with best by dates of “05/17/24” and “05/18/24” and establishment No. P-32009 on the USDA mark of inspection. If you have these packs of sausage, return them to a store for a full refund.
