Listeria infects relatively few Americans each year, about 1,600 according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but it’s lethal, killing about 260 people. The most vulnerable people to listeria’s worst effects are people over 65, newborns and pregnant women. Most people will feel flu-like symptoms, with headaches, fever and neck stiffness.

Any questions about this recall should be directed to Rizo Lopez Foods at 800-626-5587, Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern time.
