‘Baby activity centers’ sold only at Walmart got recalled after baby bumps and bruises

A strap problem that can lead to bouncing babies bouncing off the floor and being injured caused 115,700 Cosco Jump, Spin & Play Activity Centers to be recalled by Dorel Juvenile Group.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission described the problem with the Walmart exclusive product: “The activity centers’ straps can detach or break while a child is in the activity center, posing fall and injury hazards to the child.”

Dorel, the recall notice said, knows about 141 reports of the straps detaching or breaking “including 38 minor injuries involving bumps, bruises and scratches.”
